During February 2015, Edward from Valarm was invited to Makkah / Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to present at the 2015 GIS Innovation Forum conference held at Umm Al-Qura University. This was our first time in the Middle East and the conference as well as the hospitality was amazing. The conference focused on GIS entrepreneurs and startups with attendees and speakers from Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.
We shared our startup tips and advice with the audience there and those watching via the live broadcast on the web. Since we’re bootstrapped and self-funded Valarm provides a variety of experiences that differ from companies funded by venture capital.
There was a Q&A session after the presentations where we were able to help even more in giving startup company advice from our perspective. All of the other presenters were fantastic and inspirational, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how Industrial IoT and GIS startups are making it happen around the world!
There’s plenty to share about our experiences monitoring a wide variety of sensors made by any manufacturer like Flowline, Alphasense, McCrometer, Senix, and In-Situ.
Tools.Valarm.net makes monitoring systems easy and cost-effective for you. Various industries remotely monitor things like:
- Water Usage Monitoring
- Tank Monitoring
- General Liquid, Fluid, and Water Monitoring Systems
- Real-Time Pollution + Air Quality Monitoring
- Monitoring Water Levels for Oil & Gas
Next up is the Esri Partner & PUG Conferences in Palm Springs, California, & Houston, Texas then the Esri User Conference 2015 in San Diego.
